Art discovered is the art that you have been exposed to since birth. It’s the art that surrounds us, and it can be anything from a painting on a wall, to an old rock from the ground. As a child, I used to stare at blank walls for hours at a time. The paint was so interesting to me! I never wanted to leave my bedroom! The color white was very intriguing as well, despite its simplicity. Today I will discuss art found in books and music.
The first book that came into my life was a book of nursery rhymes, “A Child’s Treasury of Poems and Nursery Rhymes”. This book has been with me for almost as long as I can remember; it even has my name written inside on the cover page! Reading this book every night before bed became routine for me. Creativity and imagination were huge parts of my childhood. As I got older, my love for reading continued to grow and blossom. Now I read all the time, and it’s something that will never leave me.
The second book that came into my life was “Shepherd Moons”, by Enya. This album is one of the most influential albums in my life, and it is one of the albums that made me fall in love with classical music at such a young age. The first song on this album is called “Smaointe…” (English: “In My Mind”), which means “in your mind” in Irish Gaelic; this song represents everything I believe about creativity and imagination. It talks about how we can find inspiration anywhere we look, like under a tree or under a waterfall; we must only open our eyes and look beyond what’s right in front of us to see things as they really are; possibilities are endless! The rest of this album talked about similar topics; these songs talked about how important dreams are to us all, because they give us hope for tomorrow – that there will be something better waiting for you around every corner! These songs showed me how much passion Enya has for music; she poured her heart into these beautiful pieces of art! One day I hope to find another artist with as much passion as she has.
The third book that came into my life was “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”, by J.K. Rowling. I was introduced to this series when I was in 5th grade; it’s an instant classic! The creativity contained in these books is astounding; every time I pick them up, my imagination runs wild with all the possibilities of each character and their lives! Reading these stories has allowed me to become more creative than ever before – which is why they will never leave me!
The fourth book that came into my life was “Warriors: Omen of the Stars #1: The Fourth Apprentice”, by Erin Hunter. This is actually a series that intertwines with another series called Warriors, but they both have different storylines. These books are about cats who live in the forest and hunt for their food. They must learn to work together and help one another to survive and thrive in this cruel world. The ideas behind these stories are very similar to my own; they talk about how we must put differences aside if we want the best for our future, how we can make our own decisions despite what others may think, and that no matter what happens, you will always be able to find hope within yourself. This is a great series that I highly recommend!
The fifth book that came into my life was “The Sound of Waves”, by Yukio Mishima. This is a wonderful novel written by Mishima; I’m sure you have heard of him before because he committed suicide out of shame for Japan’s actions during World War II – which I don’t agree with one bit! Anyways, this book is mainly based on two people named “Mishima” (who are actually two characters) who fall in love with each other even though they have never met…until now! Their lives are full of complicated relationships, but some things just can’t be avoided – like true love being revealed after so many years apart from each other! This novel shows us how important it is to trust your heart when making important decisions or doing something extremely difficult – because sometimes all you need is faith!
The sixth book that came into my life was “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”, by J.
The last three songs that came into my life were:”The Sound of Silence” by Disturbed, “I’m Alive” by Disturbed, and “Inside the Fire” by Disturbed. These songs represent everything I’ve ever wanted to say – they talk about how we need to keep fighting even when things become very difficult for us; how we must continue on with our lives each day despite the circumstances; and how even when one feels like they are alone in this world, there will always be somebody who cares for you.
As you can see, art is everywhere! It’s not just some painting on a wall or a statue of somebody’s head – it’s inspiration…it’s creativity…it’s imagination! We all have some form of art inside ourselves somewhere; some more than others. If you don’t believe me right now, give yourself some time to think about it. Look at your surroundings carefully. Art is inside everything around us – it just takes time to find what inspires you most! I hope my post was helpful in discovering exactly what it is that inspires YOU!
